Israel’s Hypocrisy

Israel gets another joyful kick from its absurd shameful and oppressive actions towards palestinians while crying ‘Holocaust’ at any criticism directed at it. “It’s ok for us to do unto others as was once done unto us. Tee hee!” The only bloc of people who are sympathetic to Israel right now are born-again christians – another deluded group of believers in ancient prophecies.

I suspect that for almost all rational thinking non-religious non-jewish people, while we believe that Israel has a right to exist, we fail to see why that must be at the expense of palestinians. We are, all of us, people after all. Israel’s actions in the West Bank always seem deliberately intended to wreck any and all peaceful initiatives.

Crying “Holocaust!” is no longer an effective ploy for generating sympathy for Israel’s deplorable actions in the West Bank. We’ve had enough of such tactics. The country should grow up and behave responsibly or continue to lose respect and support among progressive people across  the world. One day coming the Americans won’t be there to watch your backs with the changing demographics in that country.  It’s simply not in Israel’s long term interests to continue to act like hooligans.

Thanks for the comment. No, I haven’t heard of Pallywood. I think you may have made an error in the link you posted though. The link is to a blog by the Israel Defense Forces. In the same way that I would be suspicious of an Al-Qaeda blog, I’d rather not take my news from a military website. There’s 100% probability that any such news would be 100% propaganda and either wholly invented or largely distorted. There are enough other news sources to give sufficient credibility to the accusations against Israel. Of course the Palestinians are hardly perfect but Israel is the stronger nation and where’s the maturity, the level-headedness and sensible proposals? Perhaps a certain pig headedness was required in the days of the Amalekites and the Midianites but in 2013?

  1. Sensible proposals? The reconstruction of the Hurva Synagogue in 2010 was definitely a proposal, nevertheless it was labeled as a provocation:

Comparing the regiular defence forces of a country to a terrorist organisation is quite interesting, but anyhow, the facts (videos, and photos with explanation in the article) are speaks for themselves. Despite all of these, if you doesn’t want to believe to your own eyes, but to the arab propaganda – be my guest.

    Have a nice day!
