Doggone Gordon Brown
The end comes to everything in time though even sooner where men exude hubris. The British government is in trouble, drowning in an expenses scandal that has blossomed into a truly terrifying typhoon in a teacup. Four ministers have now resigned and the death throes of Gordon Brown’s reign can be heard louder as the hours pass quickly by. The prime minister can take some comfort as he suffers this ordeal by judicium crucis that “he that is low need fear no fall”. He has sunk in public estimation as low as only low can go. How are the mighty fallen. The New Labour dream is over except a rabbit jumps out of the hat. The tragedy is that it will be another decade now before those of us who believe in humanist capitalism get another chance.
